Philosophy Of Chanakya

an unconventional thinker?
Chanakya, the famous political theorist, economist, military strategist has documented his study of these and many other subjects in his treatise ‘Arthashastra’. In the opening chapter of this treatise he speaks about the sciences and knowledge in general.
His unique approach to knowledge and decision-making through the four branches of knowledge he believed in - Dharma, Varta, Danda-Niti, and the most significant of all - Anvikshiki, the science of analytics based on observation and logic.
In an era where people readily believed in oracles, Chanakya's approach of Anvikshiki countered such practices that had no practical relevance to reality.

Philosophy Of Charvaka
Charvaka Philosophy: The Indian Materialism & Epicureanism
Around 600 BCE, India was going through intellectual upheaval. Among many ideas that were shaped by it, including Buddhism, Jainism, etc. was the Charvaka Philosophy. Contrary to or even contradictory to the other Indian schools of thought, Charvaka Philosophy did not believe in the concepts of soul, god, or afterlife. It professed to enjoy life to its fullest without worrying about its moral consequences! For this Charvakas debated bluntly with other Philosophies, sometimes even mocking them, offering arguments that were logically sound, intellectually stimulating, and thought-provoking. And that is why this Philosophy is worth reverence and study. In our video, we have covered the key concepts of this philosophy and the fundamental principals based on which those concepts are based.
